Pixel trade!

Why did I never make a pixel trade hood before? It's oodles of fun downloading cute sims, giving them minor makeovers, and then - Viola! - a new home in Boomtown, my PT hood. I have plans for this hood, oh yes. :)

Sadly, there are some creators whose sims I cannot get installed into my game no matter what! Brilliantcat, Nilou, Stake-it-UK....a few others, too. I use mac-unpac and everyting, but no dice. I think it must be an EP compatibility issue, or something. Weirdly, there are some people whose sims I can -sometimes- install but then sometimes not. Hmph.

Which of the other people's sims, you mean? That sounds like a lot of work on your part, though. :)

I have your Lamb, Hemlock, and Merce, by the way! The only one I had trouble with was Merce - for some reason the CC version wouldn't install, but the CC one did!

Oh I don't mind, I love to help out where I can. Especially since it's not like I can recolor or do anything useful :p

CC free. Weird, huh? You'd think it would be the other way around. It was just with Merce, though. I don't know what makes it so that certain sims don't install...and why some makers, like Brilliantcats, never work at all. I'll link you to one each (of BC and Nilou's sims) to try to see if either works, but I don't want to give you a long list in case it doesn't.

Huh, I actually just downloaded the CC'ed version of Keenan and he installed. So again, it seems the CC-free versions are what gives me trouble, because most of BC's sims are packaged without CC and I still can't get them to work. So strange!

So there's no "with-CC" option with Maximilian, he's completely CC free, but if you can somehow upload him that way, I could give it a try.

If you get a chance (I see in your LJ that you're writing a paper, so no rush) I would love Onyx and Justice from This months founder collection (http://community.livejournal.com/pixel_trade/444451.html#cutid1) (they were the only ones that didn't work for me of the ones I downloaded). But then I PROMISE to leave you alone, because I think I will FINALLY be sick of making sims!
