So for the last week or two I've been doing a lot of building. Specifically, I've been working on two college dorms: one for the Cape Calamity teens and the other for the Sputnik teens. I'm really happy with the layouts I've created as well as how I've decorated the spaces. I used medium lots so that I could include all of the things that would make University more interesting rather than boring: a pool, hot tub, fitness room, karaoke machines, lots of instruments, etc.
But now, as I get closer to finishing up these dorms, it occurs to me that they're probably TOO BIG to play in my game without massive amounts of lag. :/ I also think that with some re-working, I could probably re-do the dorms on a smaller scale and still have all the amenities (pool, hot tub, etc.) that I want to include. This makes me want to totally re-do both dorms on smaller lots! Which of course will take even MOAR time. Argh, I do not know what to do. How do those of you who build or makeover lots manage to do so quickly and efficiently? Should I start over and try to re-build the dorms on smaller lots? After all, I kind of have an idea of what I want to do now rather than starting out from scratch.
Or maybe I should just deal with the lag. Hmm.
